How to organize your laundry for efficiency

One of the most exhausting chores to do every week is laundry. The mundane chore is not difficult but just time consuming. It takes a while to sort, wash and dry and resort the laundry and put it all away. There is no escaping the daunting task but instead just more of it over and over again.

With the right tips, laundry can be easier and more efficiently done. You do not want to spend all day washing and drying laundry and therefore if you have a system in place and have an efficient laundry room area, you should not have to worry that doing laundry all day is what you will do on a warm, sunny day when you should be outside.

One of the first things that is most important for you to do, and this is very important if you have children, add color coded tags to your laundry sorter. This will allow for children to know where to place their items and this helps to cut back on the time you spend doing laundry. If you know how hard it is to sort laundry all day and all night, then you know how important it is that you make things less stressful on yourself and this can save you time and effort.

Make sure that you have a laundry sorter that is going to be able to hold up to the pressure of all the weight of the clothes. The weight of the clothes is going to make it heavy and this can be very important when shopping for the laundry sorter. You want to make sure that it is strong enough to hold onto a few days worth of laundry.

The next tip is to make sure that you are doing laundry quite often. By keeping on top of the laundry, there is less likely hood that you will spend all day and night washing and drying laundry. This is especially important when you have something that you want to do no the weekends when the weather is nice and hot. Save yourself time and keep the laundry going every couple of days to prevent a mass buildup of dirty clothes.

The one tip that most parents need to know is to make sure that they do not place laundry baskets and hampers inside of kids’ rooms. The one thing that a laundry basket does in a childs’ room is to make the child throw all of their clothes in there instead of just the dirty ones and then you will wash clothes that do not even need to be washed. Make sure to follow this so you not only save time on laundry but also money on washing laundry since you would just be washing money down the drain.
