Dads Little Laundry Helper

Let’s face it; kids today are so caught up in the world of technology and video games that they have lost valuable appreciation of housework.

Doing laundry doesn’t have to be a chore in comparison with Play station or Xbox, but rather a bonding time to have conversation, laugh together and just talk while taking care of home.

Teaching our children to step away from it all and get things done around the home such as laundry instills responsibility into them in advance of their peers.

Simple tasks can start as early as age 2 where just holding up a cloth can be a happy moment. By school age they understand colors and take pride in separating them for you. Next they will identify and notify you when its time to do the laundry due to the upkeep of their own clothes.

You can encourage this behavior by setting the stage for laundry time as something fun that brings the family close together.
